The Harbour

About the Arild harbour

Sheltered and picturesque, Arild Harbour offers 75 permanent berths and space for up to six visiting ships.

Fresh water and electricity are available on the main pier, while toilets and showers are located next to the harbour building (Hamnruffen).

Subject to availability, the harbour can serve as a harbour of refuge during strong winds from the south through west. The breakwater provides good protection in northwesterly to northerly winds of up to 18 m/s, but the harbour is not recommended in easterly winds (from northeast to southeast) exceeding 8 m/s.

Entrance to the harbour is via the marked channel between the two entrance buoys.

For safety, an automated external defibrillator (AED) is available in the toilet building behind the harbour kiosk, and firefighting equipment is located on the longer north-western pier.
